As we were wrapping up the development of Now or Never earlier this year, I decided to make the game available through preorders on our website instead of running a crowdfunding campaign. I did this for a few reasons, the biggest being that our team at Red Raven is small and it’s quite a challenge for us to run a big Kickstarter campaign and do everything else required to produce a board game. We may very well return to Kickstarter sometime in the future, but for now, I must tell you how grateful I am that so many of you followed us down this side path to preorder from our website.
With that said, I’d like to give you an update on two games: Now or Never and the reprint of Sleeping Gods.
It’s been a challenging year for supply chains and the many businesses that rely on them. Sometime around March or April this year, I thought things were heading back to normal (or at least, some version of normal). But, as the months rolled by, printing was taking longer than I expected. It was difficult to nail down pricing as the cost of raw materials fluctuated. Happily, the printing of both games is complete, and Sleeping Gods is on the water. Now or Never will be shipped in containers very soon.
As you may have heard, the cost of overseas container shipping has exploded (it’s around five to six times as much as it was before the pandemic), and delays of every kind wrack the global shipping industry. I was originally planning on fulfilling Now or Never before the end of the year, but it’s starting to look like it may happen early next year (Jan or Feb). I’ll post another update when we get more news.

And for those wondering about the expansions, Sleeping Gods: Tides of Ruin and Sleeping Gods: Dungeons should be available again early next year.
